Marc De Niel

European Patent Attorney

Marc De Niel is Belgian and obtained a Master of Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Nuclear Engineering from KU Leuven. He is fluent in Dutch, English, French and German.

 

Experience

He worked for several companies, among which Agfa-Gevaert, and has more than 20 years of experience in R&D in the mechanical area, and in information technology. Besides in mechanics and software, he has particular knowledge in a.o. physics, imaging and inkjet. Marc is a European Patent Attorney since 2002. He has mainly expertise in the drafting and prosecution of patent applications, patent validity and infringement analysis and oppositions before the European Patent Office, and this especially in the technical areas mechanics, computer implemented inventions (i.e. software) and packaging.
