Ariane Bird (Goën)

One of the founder partners of BIRD GOËN & Co, Ariane Bird is Belgian and is a electronics engineer.

Competence

She is qualified as a European Patent Attorney and as a French Patent Engineer (CEIPI). She is fluent in Dutch, English, German and French.

Experience

Ariane Bird worked as co-manager in an industrial company and trained at a major Munich IP law firm. She has been involved in major patent search projects relating to international introduction of new products in electronics and mechanics including preinfringement opinions. She has extensive experience in drafting and prosecution of European, German and US patents, handling oppositions at the European patent office and the German patent office, handling German and Belgian infringement and nullity actions. Ariane Bird brings with her a long experience in patent searching and in the use of patent information in an industrial and commercial setting. She has been involved in some of the most complex multi-national pre-infringement studies and patent portfolio analysis for determining development opportunities for new products. She has also experience in licensing of IPR.

She is also a lecturer at the CEIPI course on European Patent Law.
